Mickey flew into San Diego, and following a very busy couple of days at Disneyland, he did a whirlwind tour of San Diego, America's Finest City.
No trip to San Diego would be complete without a visit to the
world-famous San Diego Zoo!

Mickey rides the Skyfari - which gives him a great view not only
of the Zoo, but also Balboa Park.
Fortunately this polar bear doesn't seem to have much of an appetite
for either mice *or* tourists...

After the Zoo, it was off to
Cabrillo National Monument, which
commemorates Portugese explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo's discovery of
San Diego on September 28, 1542. And it also has a very nice view
of San Diego, as seen at the top of this page.
After all the sightseeing, Mickey relaxes on the beach - he even found
some seashells to take home to Minnie!
While visiting Southern California, Mickey stayed with Laura and Lee,
who have a house full of Siamese cats...why does Mickey feel like he's
in a scene from "Lady and the Tramp"? :-)
